BlueCanvas hosted Art Walk Art Battles at Downtown LA Art Walk on Thursday night. The first floor gallery space had RISK and Nathan Ota exhibiting solo and collaborative works. The second floor hosted Art Battles, featuring 4 artists in a paint competition for a spot to advance and compete in Art Battles Amsterdam.

Adam “MCA” Yauch, one of the founding members of The Beastie Boys passed away on Friday May 4th, at the age of 47. He had been in treatment for cancer since 2009.
Coldplay paid tribute at their show at the Hollywood Bowl performing a cover of ”(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!).” RIP MCA.
